About the role

Our credit risk modeling portfolio collects data from many different sources, acting as a repository of risk models. With this data and data models, we can better identify, predict, and anticipate risks related to our banking services and products. 

As a Data Developer, you get to develop our credit risk modeling portfolio data assets and the related processing and storage systems. As credit risk management is a key part of the banking business, you get to work in strategically very important area. Your day-to-day tasks consists of programming, developing, and maintaining our credit risk modeling portfolio data systems in accordance with the DevOps principles. These systems currently work in on-premises solutions, but we have now made the decision to move to a cloud-based platform. 

What we hope from you

The focus of your work is on ETL development, so it is important that you have already some years of experience in that area. You can be at the beginning of your career or more experienced data professional. 

We use databases in SQL Server that we are transferring to cloud. Hence, you should have experience in AWS environment and SQL as both a server product and a programming language. You have previous experience in ETL data flows and data transfer. We hope that you are familiar with typical data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau or PowerBI) and data programming languages (e.g. SQL, R and Python).  

We hope you to have good collaboration skills as well as willingness to share your knowledge and expertise with others. As we are working according to Agile principles, we value self-direction, solution oriented working style, and a willingness to take responsibility. In work-related matters, you communicate fluently in English, and with Finnish skills being a plus. Previous experience in the financial industry and working in risk management is a strong asset, but we strongly believe that curious minds can learn the laws of our industry.
