Wärtsilä Marine Business is now looking for an Electrical/Automation Expert to strengthen Catalyst Systems product line’s Electrical and Automation team in growing environmental business.

In our dynamic and entrepreneurial organization, we develop, sell, and deliver world class gas- and particle emission control solutions. As part of our team you will collaborate across our organization and suppliers delivering catalyst systems and solutions to Energy and Marine projects. As an Electrical/Automation Expert your main responsibility is to design and develop electrical assemblies for our SCR system together with our experts.

Following tasks are essential parts of your work: 

• Collaborate on development of new Catalyst products and product features and be responsible for the electrical part of our product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Wärtsilä internal stakeholders, suppliers, sales and delivery projects on electrical related questions.
• Lead the electrical development and coordinate the external electrical production.
• Technical expert in sales and delivery phase for electrical design and regulatory concerns.
• Work closely with our automation and software professionals. Depending on your automation skills, you may expand your role into automation related work as well.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial automation or equivalent.
• Have at least three years of experience within electrical & automation related work.
• Are able to act as the leading expert on electrical design within our organisation.
• Have a product- and lifecycle-oriented approach to your work and can customise the electrical design to fit a wide array of solutions.
• Can troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Work systematically and use task management tools to coordinate the team effort.
• Work well together with people, both your colleagues and external suppliers.
• Constantly strive to improve the way you work.
• Speak fluent English and Finnish OR Swedish

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of industrial automation, electrical codes (IEC, UL, marine class society requirements).
• Understanding of process instrumentation and use of signals for process control purposes.
• Hands on experience of work with electrical assemblies, e.g. assembly, commissioning, testing.
• Experience in AutoCAD, EPLAN, Atlassian tools, Teamcenter, M-files.
