We are now looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our core team at Nordcloud design and work on our new sites in Kuopio and Oulu. The candidate should be comfortable working with end-users, passionate about design, and curious about technology and data. Most of our UX Designers have skills that complement their everyday work, be it user research, accessibility, visual design, design systems, front-end programming, or application development on the world’s best cloud platforms. In this role, you also have a great opportunity to drive forward our new local community and contribute to the direction of the whole Nordcloud Design practice while being part of a growing international company.

Your daily work:

• Close collaboration with customers, users, and the project team, finding out end-users' and stakeholders’ needs.
• Turning these insights into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs.
• Articulating the benefits of design to customer stakeholders in every step of the project.
• Leading design teams in projects.
• Participating in business development with our Sales team.
• Contributing to our studio practices and craft and utilizing the IBM Design framework.
• Collaborating internally with teams consisting of design professionals, developers, and product owners.

Please bring with you:

• Over 5 years of relevant work experience in designing modern digital products and demonstrated a track record of creating innovative and engaging digital services.
• Competence in designing mockups and prototypes (Figma, Sketch, XD) as well as creating intuitive user flows and journeys.
• Strong skills in visual design and Design Systems.
• Understanding of design research and methodologies, Agile and Lean UX.
• Proven skills in presenting, teamwork, and effective communication with different stakeholders.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

The position can be remote, but it requires at least occasional visits to our Helsinki office in order to fully immerse yourself with the team and clients. The geographical focus is Finland, but the work context is international. Relocation within Europe is also possible later on.
