Business Unit Field Services & Workshops (FS&WS) in Marine Power is a global organisation with harmonised ways of working and tools to deliver the best possible services for our customers. We are now looking for a Superintendent to join our team. As a Superintendent, you will be an integral part of our Service team with a focus area on W31, 46TS, 46DF, W2X, SCR and LNGpac. The primary location for this position is Turku. 

As a Superintendent, your responsibilities for the role include: 

  • Commissioning and Superintendent level support for Regions of Wärtsilä new products.  

  • Provide field service mechanical advising and commissioning   

  • Participate in Competence Transfer Projects   

  • Build competence related to new 4-strole products - Give technical advice to Customers and Wärtsilä network  

  • Prepare travelling: collection of information, tools, spares, book tickets - Participate in negotiations with customers   

  • Report and inform the administrative personnel as required  
    • Provide internal and external reports  
    • Collect and organize time and expense reports after completion of the works   
  • Actively participate in digitalization programs  

  • Participate in office work (quotation, remote support)  

  • Perform internal and external training (coach Customers and Wärtsilä personnel about products under GEO-FS responsibility) 

To be successful in this role, we expect you have: 

  • B.Sc or M.Sce degree in Mechanical engineering or similar experience gained through working 

  • Good command in English, both written and oral 

  • Ability to work independently 

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for jobs globally anytime up to 200 days a year 

  • Ability to create internal and external work reports
