We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Investments team at Supercell working closely with our Growth Lead. The Investments team supports studios around the world who share Supercell’s vision of creating remarkable, memorable games. We are focusing on helping those studios grow and scale through building a platform to provide them with the best tools and technology to unlock their full potential.

In this role, you will help to build & design a pipeline for onboarding and managing data from our portfolio of investee studios. You have previously led data engineering organizations/teams and understand the challenges and demands of performance marketing and user acquisition at scale. We’re looking for someone who has set the direction and execution of a vision for a large scale data collection and processing operation. You will work with teams to integrate and standardize new data systems as well as build internal facing tools for interacting with data. As a team, we are still at the beginning of our journey and are continuing to evaluate how to best support the needs of our investee companies. Responsibilities

• Define what data should be collected and what types of analysis that data enables
• Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines
• Help data analysts and the rest of the team with ad hoc requests related to data validity and semantics
• Work alongside other data engineers to improve the infrastructure for data collection, storage and processing
• Collaborate with Investee companies to advise, support, & share learnings with their teams
• Work with external contractors to build and deliver tools
• Together with the rest of the team, develop and execute on a strategy to enable growth of investee studios

Requirements

• +5 years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining data infrastructure
• Expert knowledge of Python and SQL
• Track record of maintaining large scale ETL processes
• Experience with AWS data stack (Athena+S3+Glue)
• Familiarity with large scale data warehouse technologies (BigQuery, Spark, Spark Streaming)
• Knowledge of build, deployment and orchestration tools (Azkaban or Airflow, Jenkins, Terraform)
• Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced, challenging and stimulating organization
• Solid communication skills, ability to communicate with non-technical people
• Passion for games and improving player experience
• Proactivity and a curious mind

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Marketing APIs / SDKs (AppsFlyer, Facebook, Google, etc)
• Familiarity with BI tools (Periscope, Looker, Tableau)
