As a fast-growing business within Network and Communications Sales (NCS), the Network Solution Provider (NSP) / Telecom Equipment Manufacturers (TEM) sales segment is focused to further accelerate growth and Market Segment Share (MSS) in the network infrastructure through our Wireless Core, Cloud and Edge, including Private Wireless, transformation strategies in 5G, 6G and beyond.

This is a commissioned field sales position. As a Technical Sales & Application Engineer, you are the link between development, customer and sales. Your goal is to generate technical solutions and successfully implement them at the customers in the NSP/TEM segment. You will use existing products and new product concepts to work out system solutions. This requires in-depth knowledge of our products and solutions, and all of the details from development to testing through to the sales strategy.

The role provides the opportunity to develop and execute multi-year engagements that builds upon our existing projects and opens up new growth opportunities in Networking and Communications with design win targets in Wireless Core, Edge, Cloud and Routing segments. In order to enable the full One Intel experience, it will require to manage adjacent engagements, like Intel Foundry Services, SiPh, and e.g. how IOTG applies to Private Wireless.

Managing technical support priorities across Business Groups (e.g. Network and Edge, Data Center and AI,...), and experience with both hardware and software definition in collaboration with the respective Business Units will be important to enable competitive solutions and road-maps with differentiation. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for both tactical technical engagements and strategic technology collaboration across the NSP/TEM segment.

During the pre-decision phase (prior to design award) and during the development phase of the customer's system, you are in contact with their development department. You also will be responsible for product trainings, answer questions about the hardware and software development environment. Expect that there is no such thing as a routine day: Often you do not know in the morning how your workday will go. Flexibility is a key attribute of your skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key job responsibilities, scope and activities include:

  • Working with NSPs/TEMs, Service Providers and BU PAE, marketing and architecture teams to understand future requirements (system level, silicon and software requirements).

  • Develop close technical alignment and relationships with customer's technical staff as well as with Network and Edge, Data Center and AI BUs to uncover opportunities, understand customer requirements, and scale competitive solutions to grow and accelerate Intel market segment leadership.

  • Collaborate with internal partners across broader Intel to maximize our value offering for the wireless core, cloud and edge segments using One Intel approach.

  • Drive strategy to expand into new growth segments and broader market consumption to ensure Intel's continued leadership in Networking and Cloud.

  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners and Tier 1 NSP/TEM to drive innovations into the next generation of communication processor solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate should have 3+ years of technical sales experience, complemented with architecture and system level development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3+ years of:

  • Working experience in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.

  • Experience in Field Application Engineering or Technical Sales.

  • Experience in cloud architecture and/or telecom network infrastructure.

  • Technical capability, effective interpersonal communications, and ability to task manage.

  • Experience working with industry partners and or customers in a strategic role.
