Right now, we are looking for a Solution / Integration Architect – Party Manager & Privacy to strengthen our IT team. We need you!

Your next challenge?

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for facilitating customer centricity by connecting customer information across our 100's of systems in 6 countries. This is an important role for Telia in their digital transformation journey and this team is building a solution which is critical for the teams working with customer engagement, global business, insight, and many other areas. You will have the responsibility of being solution architect of Party Manager and Privacy team. The Party Manager system is a new core functionality that will help us transform the entire company from subscriber centric based architecture and models to a streamlined user centric architecture. It enables modern customer master principles for B2C, B2B, B2O, and omnichannel capabilities with consistent experience across brands. The Privacy team is responsible for Data Subject Rights management across all brands for each of the Telia 6 countries. GDPR and Data Subject Rights management are important part of Telia’s journey to transform from being subscription centric to becoming user centric.

As a Solution Architect you will be part of the start of a new team. We already have 5 developers but hope to grow the team in the next few months. We are an agile team so our developers will immediately implement the solution design you create first in Norway and then in the other countries as we have more team members join our area.

We have defined some of the Enterprise level architecture and basic needs, and now need to start building the solution architecture for how to turn those high-level plans into actionable tasks. This role mainly focuses on providing solution designs and strategies in backend architecture for our core system. You will work with different projects and initiatives from our stakeholders as well as take part in meetings where you will discuss and present ideas to improve our architecture. We are currently focusing on transforming Telia from a subscription to a user-centric company and this is a critical tool in that process.

Who are you?

Since you are going to be working closely together with many different development teams as well as other architects you need to have good communication skills and you need to be a true team player. We also think that you are driven, solution oriented, take ownership for getting things done and are not afraid to initiate new solutions or initiatives that can benefit our area and help us reach our goals. You also like to keep your eyes on the details, maintain a good structure and succeed in following up in a diverse variety of people and tasks.

I know the spec may be one that most people won't fill completely, so I am primarily looking for familiarity with systems, ability to learn, the right attitude and a willingness/ability to assume responsibility for a large, critical system. That will ultimately be more important than experience with the exact elements of the stack. What I really want is a Solution Architect who would look at the system and think, “Sure, that looks interesting. I bet I can figure all that out…”

English is our common language, so good communication skills is important to us. Do you speak Scandinavian/Baltic languages as well? Great!

The main responsibilities will be:

  • Break down the high-level architectural plan into programmable tasks.

  • Design and work out architectural solutions based on concepts and feature needs.

  • Support our developers making sure that solutions are scalable, maintainable and architecturally sound.

  • Drive roadmap work for the team and related areas dealing with integration issues with new systems upon need

  • Work according to modern, agile and devops software development practices and help create good engineering practices

  • Co-operate with other technology areas on global deliveries

  • Create solution and technical documentation

  • Work closely with developers, stakeholders and enterprise architects

  • This is not just an architectural job, but also includes a lot of practical work and problem solving

Your experience:

  • An academic degree preferably in computer science or similar.

  • Several years of experience as a Solution or Integration Architect

  • Experience from working with agile methods, especially useful would be SAFe 5.0 or ITIL 4.0

  • Experience with Cloud based solutions (AWS preferred - AWS Environment/Toolset; e.g. Lambda, Terraform, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, SSM, …)

  • Experience with implementing and integrating with REST APIs

Additional Useful Skills:

  • Knowledge of GDPR and it's impacts on technology (experience with GDPR solutions)

  • Experience with source control, Git, REST APIs and SQL

  • Experience with Containers/Docker, CI/CD: Concourse, Maven, Functional testing

  • Experience with SonarQube and Splunk

  • Experience building AWS lambda functions with NodeJS

  • Experience in JavaScript and NodeJS development

  • Experience with OAuth, BPMN, Kafka

...or similar systems, components or tools.

My team is small so you will get a lot of responsibility and work autonomously on some tasks and closely with other architects and team members on others. Therefore, it is important that you have the level of seniority to manage to work independently as well as in a team.
