The Faculty of Information Technology is seeking

Doctoral Researcher to work in a project

Starting February 1, 2022 (or soon after that) until December 31, 2023.

Tasks and qualifications

The tasks of doctoral researcher focus on a dissertation related to the topic of mobile programming. In a project is being built a multi-device software platform where different devices can take turns in running the software. Then different devices serialize their status and transfer it to a different device where execution is possible to continue. WebAssembly and various IoT equipment will be used in the implementation.

The main duties of doctoral researchers consist of research for the doctoral thesis and postgraduate education. The duties, qualification requirements, and language skills of doctoral researchers are stipulated by the University of Jyväskylä Regulations, Rector's decision on personnel matters, and language skills guidelines.

Task requires good English skills. The project requires good skills in programming and the ability to communicate software design and architecture.

The position is suitable for a beginner doctoral researcher.

Salary

The salary of a doctoral researcher will be determined in accordance with the Finnish University Salary System. A trial period of six months will be used at the beginning of the employment.
