Description of the position

You will be assigned responsibilities mainly in indirect procurement areas and categories according the the actual needs. Indirect procurement includes all service and products which support Orion's different business units and are not part of the products that we directly sell - it can also be summarized that Indirect Procurement encompasses all procurement except for the so called "direct" raw materials, packaging materials and finished products. We support the work of a broad range of internal stakeholders and collaborate with suppliers globally.

Your responsibilities may also include tasks from other teams within Supply Chain & Procurement organisation. In case feasible, your personal knowledge and preferences can guide the final definition of the tasks. The responsibilities will support the strategic sourcing tasks, like sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract lifecycle management. In fulfilling the tasks you are expected to be in contact with both internal and external stakeholders.

Indirect Procurement is part of Supply Chain & Procurement within Orion Global Operations. We are responsible for the strategic sourcing of indirect services & goods, supplier management, risk management and category management within Orion Corporation in close cooperation with our internal stakeholders as well as our external partners.

Requirements

We are looking for a positive, energetic and proactive person, who accepts demanding goals and shows drive and determination towards fulfilling them. You have a curious mindset, you are willing to learn and understand how things are, and have eagerness to develop things further. You also possess good negotiation, networking and analytical skills and are a team player.

We hope you have:

  • Completed university courses in the field of procurement management, logistics or SCM seen as an asset
  • Former experience in sourcing and/or supply chain management is considered an asset
  • Fluency in oral and written Finnish and English

We offer interesting tasks and possibilities to learn and develop your professional expertise in the field of indirect procurement and a place within a team of professionals. The role will be based in either Espoo or Turku. Please include your salary request in your application. The summer job is planned to start during May and is for 3 or 4 months.
