Junior Frontend Developer (summer trainee) in Design Systems at OP, Helsinki

In this position you get to work with the OP Design Systems team, which creates the central pieces for all our frontend development work. We work together with designers and frontend developers, to provide the best user experience for our OP customers through component library, documentation, guidelines and patters.

What are we hoping from you?

You will be part of our team’s everyday work and we hope that you have at least the following skills:
•    Understanding of React based web UI development.
•    Basics of developing with Node.js and using TypeScript.
•    Ability to figure out where to add unit tests in existing React code.

As your work with us progresses, so do the areas in which you will be able to take part in. 

Please specify in your application letter, which technologies you are already familiar with and let us know about your previous experience with them. Typically, we have summer trainees working from May to September. Please let us know the time period you can work full time during the summer.

Recruitment process timeline:

•    The finalist candidates are selected based on a video interview between the end of February and early March and we will inform all video interview participants about the next steps.  
•    We will interview the finalist candidates during March by our hiring managers and we will inform the selected candidates after the decisions.
