Wärtsilä Information Management (IM) supports businesses in digitizing core operations and enabling new digital business opportunities via technology and information. We are looking for an energetic and ambitious Development Portfolio Manager to shape the future of our digital development. In the Portfolio Manager position you will be responsible for the IT and digital development portfolio and lead the portfolio management team in IM. You are the person we are looking for, if you are development oriented, a true portfolio management professional and a fun person to work with.

Location:

Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland 

Responsibilities:

• Management of the central IT development portfolio, including projects and continuous agile developments, to maximize the value of the portfolio 
• Ensuring that developments are managed in a coordinated way and financially sustainably
• Developing portfolio management and IT development practices, from strategy & road-mapping to business case realization follow-up   
• Improving and maintaining transparency to Wärtsilä corporate-wide digital development in cooperation with the Business IT teams
• Developing IM resource management to ensure optimal support for Business developments
• Providing value adding reporting of the development portfolio 
• Leading the portfolio management team 
• Communications and stakeholder management within the portfolio management area

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration or Information Technology
• 5+ years IT portfolio management experience in an organization operating in global environment
• Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining company-wide digital portfolio transparency 
• Skilled in agile and waterfall development methods and management of a hybrid portfolio
• Good understanding of strategic road-mapping, financials and IT architecture
• Proactive, development-minded and goal-focused attitude to work 
• Professional communication and presentation skills
• Excellent leadership, collaboration and teambuilding skills, also in a matrix organization
• Fluent written and spoken English
