The role provides Agile Project Management capabilities, coordinating activities across multiple projects and teams to drive automation initiatives in the organization. The Automation Program Manager will facilitate across multiple teams, bridging the gap between product owners and technical leads.

It creates an essential bridge between agile development processes and more formalized projects, schedules, and resource management. Experience and knowledge of blending Scrum methodologies and formal project management are essential in fulfilling this role.

In addition, the job also includes: leading, planning, monitoring, and assisting with the direction of multidisciplinary product/operational development work teams. Ensures that projects are completed with high-level accountability to achieve targets.

Partners with key organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and KPI”s for the initiative.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the efforts of multidisciplinary operational teams.
  • Empowering the project team to succeed by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project, has the time, knowledge, and skills to perform the work, and encourages a sustainable pace with high levels of quality.
  • Leveraging both Agile and traditional Project Management techniques and analysis for clinical and operational issues.
  • Providing Agile scrum support, project management support, follow-up analysis, and implementation support for multiple work teams with widely varying scope.
  • Taking ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinates directly with other operational/product teams on inter-dependencies.
  • Assisting in developing project cost, key performance indicators, and metrics to establish project worth.
  • Monitoring team performance and balancing workload and helping identify continuous improvement opportunities to help the team work more efficiently.
  • Controlling all streams/initiatives.
  • Having governance overall streams.
  • Ensuring dependencies are taken into consideration when planning priorities and timing of design-development-deployment phases.
  • Managing resourcing and necessary people's time allocation.
  • Coordinating different stakeholders involved and work within the program, arranging a workshop, planning sessions, requirement specifications, testing, deployment.
  • Reporting status to leadership (planning, execution, benefits realization).

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Strong computer skills, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge and experience in agile project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of agile development processes and how organizations adopt and implement those processes.
  • Basic understanding of automation concepts, technologies in DevOps, IT operations, cloud, and IT processes.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies would be a plus!

Minimum experience required:

3 years of progressively responsible professional work experience involving project management, Agile methodology, consulting and analysis, planning, business development, operations improvement.
