Doctoral Candidate/Project Researcher

Doctoral Candidate/Project Researcher position located at the Department of Physics and Astronomy on fixed-term employment contracts. The assignment begins on 1 February 2022 and ends on 31 August 2022 (or upon mutual agreement).
Requirements
Candidates are required to have MSc in physics or a related field, knowledge of Low Temperature Physics and experience with magnetic trapping of atoms. Applicants are expected to have good English language skills.
The selection is based on application and interview.
Salary and Trial Period
The salary will be determined in accordance with the Finnish university salary system for teaching and research personnel. The salary for project researcher is at levels 2–4 on the job chart, where the work-specific salary component is between 2078,27 – 2591,28 euros per month. In addition, a personal work performance component will be paid. The component based on personal performance adds a minimum of 6 % and a maximum of 50 % to the base salary. The starting salary for this position is 2286 – 2473 €/month. The assignment has a three-month trial period.
