What is the role and team like? 

The bread and butter of our team is to develop OP Business Mobile's existing operations and create new functionalities that delight and retain the users. As a team, we are an active, fast-paced, and creative bunch of developers being proud of doing meaningful work for Finnish entrepreneurs to enable them to handle their payments via 24/7 banking, send invoices to customers, manage investments in real-time, and, for example, apply for financing as smoothly and hassle-free as possible. Having millions of active users and impressive growth (+50% to last year) OP Business Mobile is an application that reaches customers extensively on a Finnish scale.

As a Senior Developer, you will focus on developing OP Business Mobile's new functionalities for multiple feature areas, focusing especially on mobile client-side (both iOS and Android platforms). To fulfill our customer promise, the scalability and reliability of the service are a very important part in the development of OP Business Mobile, which is why we expect you to participate on creating stronger and better DevOps practices to support development. So, in a nutshell your days are made up with: 

-    Development work of OP Business Mobile
-    Strong daily collaboration with internal stakeholders and your team 
-    Continuous improvement, both from a technology and WoW point of view
-    DevOps mindset and inspiring approach 

What we are hoping from you?

Naturally we hope to find someone with matching previous experience, but we already have solid experts in our team, so we don’t expect you to excel since day one. Our team consists of experienced professionals in requirements specification, programming, testing and product management who are always ready to share their own know-how. Most of all, we’re looking for someone eager to learn new things and who has energy to actually take all the new learnings into use. To be clear, we are looking for following skill set: 

-    Previous work experience of Android (preferred) and/or iOS mobile development
-    DevOps mindset and inspiring approach blended with a passion for problem-solving 
-    Good oral and written English and Finnish language skills

Experience in the following is seen as advantageous:

-    Hybrid mobile platforms, API design, UX, Accessibility
-    cloud services, e.g. AWS
