We together - Anne-Charlotte Strid as Head of Managed Services and Solution Enablers team and Jussi Jääskeläinen as Chief Architect, are looking forward to onboarding an enthusiastic colleague, who has the strive and motivation to strengthen our architectural muscle as a Solution Architect in the Solution Engineering unit.

Service hub domain is a key area for our Product Area Communication, serving all our markets with leading B2B communication solutions. It is a collection of reusable modular components that are used to enhance our products and services in various areas.

We are working very closely with our software partner, that has most of the people working for us in Sundsvall, Sweden. You will be working on daily basis with our software partners architects, tech leads and developers. This relationship is critical for the success of this role. We deploy the components both locally and into the public cloud (AWS), depending on the business requirements. Everything new is built in a cloud native way, but there is a lot of existing services that also need to be refactored.

In addition of working with the Service hub as your main duty, you will be part of an architecture team that is serving all our product units and is securing that we deliver according to our Enterprise Architecture framework. Solution Engineering is a SPOC towards our IT and Network, and we need to drive our area considering development and requirements of other domains too, we are not a separate island.

Your main activities will include:

• Taking a grip of the overall architecture of the Service hub domain

• Improving code quality, documentation and security using CI/CD modules

• Improving code quality by driving use of TDD/BDD

• Taking lead in designing end-to-end solutions for your area

• Refining requirements in dialogue with key stakeholders, collecting data, delivering analysis and solutions

• Being heavily involved when we develop new capabilities, define features towards development teams together with product owners and managers

• Estimating the work size, and priorities to be able to plan accurately within SAFe

• Identifying system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies and balancing competing demands to ensure deliverables of the change initiative are achieved

• Design of architecture and technical solution to assist the business in meeting their business objectives aligned with Telia Company target architecture

• Leading the architecture transformation from current IT landscape to target IT landscape

• Defining NFR’s, guiding and supporting agile teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and architecturally sound

• Consulting colleagues, managers, and POs on solution design questions

• Providing input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximizing the return on technology investment

• Maintaining the architectural vision for this area and making sure we build the architectural runway to cater our products and services needs efficiently

Experience and skills needed for this position: 

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fields

• Experience in software development, as a senior developer, senior analyst, or architect

• Technical architecture and design practice

• UML and data modelling skills

• High skills on area of DevOps, driving improvements, innovation, and agile ways of working/SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)

• Good visual, verbal, and written communication skills

• Fluent in English, both in written and verbal

• Fluent in one Nordic or Baltic language, both in written and verbal
