The focus of this position is to establish the vision and profitable growth strategy for our clinical business through leading the product management team and working with global, cross-functional teams. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will lead all offering development and life cycle management for this segment. You will advocate and prioritize business cases to the Leadership Team and gain support for the execution of the strategy. This role offers an opportunity to lead the expansion to new markets and work at the cutting edge of clinical genetic testing. You will pioneer our product management and can make your mark by building a function that will help us shape the future of genetic diagnostics.

You will lead a team of 3 product management professionals and report to Blueprint Genetics Managing Director. The team is based in Helsinki HQ but welcomes the new member to work entirely remotely in Finland, Germany, Spain, Norway, and Sweden as well.

Your main tasks will include

• Establishing vision and profitable growth strategy (organic and acquired) for our clinical business part of the annual strategic planning process
• Influencing cross-functional teams to identify, develop and implement product/solutions addressing unmet customer needs that will drive profitable growth
• Leading the creation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with Leadership Team members and cross-functional partners
• Executing effective life-cycle management across the organization through robust cross-functional team management
• Working with all Leadership Team members to achieve agreed revenue, volume and margin targets in AOP
• Creating the foundation for effective product management
• Partnering with Marketing and Commercial teams on product/solution go-to-market strategy
• Rigorously assess new products/solutions to enable prioritization within R&D
• Generating customer insights to define customer/market segment requirements to set product/portfolio solution, priority setting, and risk management
• Defining requirements for partnerships, alliances, ventures for assigned segment and evaluate/manage the relationships
• Defining and managing product/service KPI’s
• Ensuring the voice of customer is brought into the in-line and product/solution creation process
• Understanding the competitive landscape to ensure we have winning solutions in development and in the market place
• Understanding continuum of quality requirements

What we expect from you

• A master’s degree in life sciences, business administration, strategy, marketing and/or product management
• 10+ years relevant experience in healthcare or other regulated industry with at least 5 years in product management & strategy execution
• Previous P&L management experience
• Excellent strategic influencing and interpersonal skills and ability to work with several teams and experts across the organization
• Great communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage complexity and deliver solutions to a tight deadline
• Solid business acumen and ability to work in matrix organization
• Experience in leading a team and ability to drive change
