Are you an energetic and innovative strategic IT sourcing professional? We are looking for a Category Manager responsible for Information Management (IM) to join our Indirect Procurement team. The location of the position is in either Espoo or Turku but you are also able to work hybrid. The start in this position is as soon as possible.

Description of position

You will be responsible for the sourcing, supplier management & category management processes for the IM category within Orion Corporation.  

In this impactful position you are responsible for sourcing projects from initiation to agreement. Your sourcing sub-categories are services, consultancy and solutions. In addition to on-premise solutions and services, many of the key projects also involve Cloud services. You will also take care of the supplier relationship management & agreement processes within your category in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. An important part of your role will be to constantly develop the IM procurement category and risk management within the category. You will have the unique oportunity to join us while we are building our future ways of working and broadly modernizing the technological solutions utilizied within Orion through our Future 2025 program. Our core systems are being updated as part of this program and other projects. You will have a great opportunity to build cross-functional networks and support Orion’s business divisions with ideal IT solutions. You will also lead and support the IM virtual sourcing network.

You will report to the Head of Indirect Procurement but will also work very closely with the Information Management (IM) Department.

Description of unit

Indirect Procurement is a part of the Supply Chain and Procurement department within Orion’s Global Operations organization. Indirect Procurement consists of five different procurement categories, each lead by a Category Manager. We are a team of 15 centralized procurement professionals at this moment, working together with broad networks of sourcing managers within the stakeholder organizations. We are responsible for the strategic sourcing of Indirect services & goods, supplier management, risk management and category management within Orion Corporation in close cooperation with our internal stakeholders as well as our external partners. We work together with Orion's Purchasing Services team, responsible for the operative purchase to pay process. We have a true passion to be best in our field!

Requirements

To succeed in this role we expect you to have

• Strong experience and skills in IT strategic sourcing, supplier management
• Hands-on experience of IT projects, services or solutions
• Excellent collaboration, influencing and negotiating skills
• Strong leadership skills to lead and support IM virtual sourcing network
• Proactive, can-do approach and capability to drive and prioritize sourcing projects

We exepect you to hold an upper university degree in engineering, business or similar skills and have fluent written and spoken skills both in Finnish and in English.
