Lead Developer, Genesys Cloud

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our team (based in Helsinki) working on the Genesys Cloud platform! You might wonder what our team does in practice? Well, basically we ensure that our customer facing colleagues can control all the incoming & outgoing phone calls and digital contacts with our most meaningful contact points – our customers.

What is the role like? 

Your focus as a Lead Developer will be on making sure that our team’s software development work is done in best possible way, filling the architectural needs and given requirements. You also make sure that the software architecture is developing into the right direction. You will be in contact with our business stakeholders to understand the actual needs from the field and you interpret those requirements and turn them into technical solutions. One of the next projects will be integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and you will have a big role in making this happen.

We believe that experienced Backend Developer with couple of years’ experience from Node.js and AWS would be great fit for the role! Core elements that we value a lot are following:
•    hands on experience from software development with the following stack: Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS, React, MySQL. Also, previous experience from responsible Developer role is needed to manage in this role.
•    previous experience from Agile & DevOps models and interest to automate things (e.g., Robot Framework and Continuous Delivery are familiar concepts to you).
•    interest in software architecture and capability to lead its development.
•    communication skills in English are required, fluency in Finnish is seen as an advantage.

Even though we are looking for Lead Developer to join our team focusing on developing Genesys Cloud, you don’t need to have previous experience from the platform. You will be able to learn the details also with us! We at OP have so called “70/20/10 rule” in use, which means you will use 70% of your time for your daily tasks, 20% to develop the way you do those tasks, and the last 10% is reserved for you to learn and try new things.
