Job Description

To enable our highly talented professionals in research, development, supply chain, sales and marketing functions to focus on their primary tasks, we want to have equally talented persons working in support functions. We are looking for a Finance / Accounting Manager to join our finance team, reporting to company CFO. You will be working in a broad range of financial processes: purchasing, sales, accounting, period end closing, reporting and more. You will be working with international business and hence international financial processes. You will be involved in financial processes across the group companies including subsidiaries multiple European countries and USA. You get to know the company inside and out as you will be collaborating with all the functions.

The position is full-time. Even though our office is located in Helsinki, remote working within Finland is supported and encouraged. You can work where your performance is at the best.

Responsibilities

• Operation and development of accounting processes and practices of Varjo group
• Period end closing activities
• Manufacturing and inventory accounting processes
• International VAT and income tax related processes
• Annual financial statements and audit
• Monitor and assure accounting compliance with policies and regulations
• Communication and co-operations with outsourced operations/stakeholders
• Oversight, support, and mentoring to finance team, other teams and accounting partners on accounting matters
• Possibility to adjust the responsibilities according to personal preferences and capabilities

Requirements

• Preferably BSc or MSc in a relevant area
• 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting / finance
• Proficiency in an ERP system (Netsuite experience is a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in a team and on your own
• Attention to details and “can do” attitude required
• Good Excel proficiency and strong willingness to learn more
