Our global People and Culture (P&C) team consists of over 50 professionals in +20 countries. The key focus of our P&C organization is to create the best possible organizational, digital and physical employee experience. We support our employees and managers with different employee lifecycle-related topics. To succeed in this role, you should be able to combine a forward-looking view of HR operations and continuously develop our systems, ways of working and provide good support for our employees.

You will report to our Global People Operations Director based in the UK and be part of a global team with colleagues all around the world. We offer a fixed-term contract for 12 months as maternity leave cover. This role owns the People agenda for the Finnish HQ but works closely with colleagues in other countries on various improvement related projects.

Areas of responsibility

  • Leading all operational HR related matters in Finland: supporting our employees, line managers and Business HRs on employee lifecycle matters such as benefits, policies, and processes
  • Developing the Finnish HQ HR Operations further: service management, processes and practices together with the local & global team
  • Developing employee wellbeing and company culture
  • Overseeing and ensuring our policies and documents are up to date and according to local legislation and practices and are communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Cooperating closely with colleagues in P&C, internal customers and stakeholders like our employee representative and our health & safety representative to develop the best end-user experience
  • Cooperating with third party service providers such as our Occupation healthcare, Pension and Technology Industries of Finland (Teknologiateollisuus)

Key activities expected to be involved in:

  • Providing guidance on various people related topics such as performance management, organizational change, employee relations, grievances, internal people processes etc
  • Influencing and building relationships with people and teams around the business
  • Participating in various global people projects such as Culture & Value work, Employer branding, Inclusion & Diversity, Leadership development, Policy reviews etc
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Analyzing people trends and metrics
  • Focus on continuous feedback and improvement
  • Networking and cooperate externally to keep up with external HR trends

Key skills and experiences which will be helpful to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience from a similar role, with at least a few years of experience working as an HR Manager
  • Knowledge of Finnish labor legislation, collective agreement (preferable within Technology Industries) and regulatory processes and responsibilities (eg related to health and safety)
  • Understanding the basics of modern HR systems (we use Workday!)
  • Fluent in Finnish and very good English language skills (English is our company language)
  • Good problem-solver, mindset of continuous improvement
  • Good networking, collaborations and communications skills
  • Positive can-do & service minded attitude with a good sense of humour
