We are looking to hire a seasoned Quality EHSS Director, who will strategically lead the future of Quality and EHSS across all of our product portfolios, worldwide.  

In this position you can use your superior skills in QEHSS and processes in advanced digitally oriented global environment with modern products enabling more sustainable future. You will lead the global Voyage QEHSS team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the Voyage QEHSS Strategy, set the yearly targets, report and govern the QEHSS performance
• Lead the Voyage Quality Environment Health Safety Security management systems, audits, certifications, processes, tools and competences according Wärtsilä corporate guidelines and policies, international standards and business, customer and regulatory requirements
• Lead the Voyage Product and Operational Quality. Support business to secure end to end quality of products and services according to stakeholder requirements and expectations aligned with Wärtsilä quality strategy and business strategic targets.
• Drive the overall Voyage Value streams and processes excellence program and supporting the Voyage SAP 4/HANA implementation project
• Enhance a quality mindset in the organization, driving cultural change across the whole company globally. Lead QEHSS communications throughout global QEHSS network.
• Facilitate trainings, educating the business on quality topics and making the business, quality conscious.
• Driving the focused QEHSS trainings and educate the business on topics
• Driving actions to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our personnel and stakeholders throughout our operations for the whole lifecycle of our solutions.
• Working with other internal and external stakeholder around on holistic business security
• Continuous Improvement of QEHSS activities and benchmarking new world class methodologies

Key Requirements:

As an ideal candidate for this position you will have a Bachelors’ or a Masters’ degree in a relevant field, supported by extensive work experience in high impact, Quality and EHSS Management roles, where you have been the driving force behind transformation in an international business.

• Experience – Significant experience focusing on transforming and innovating the way QEHSS is carried out in a business.
• Process Excellence – Strong competences and experience to implement and continuously improve business processes and value streams
• Stakeholder Management – You easily develop trustful professional relationships with your business stakeholders and peers. You will also be able to communicate with excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
• Leadership – In coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution and bringing strong people management experience. In previous positions you have successfully been able to use your leadership skills to drive cultural change across the whole company.
• Execution – Understanding how to link quality needs and opportunities alongside customer expectations to Define KPIs and metrics and set goals for improvement.
• Skilled – You will be able to bring a deep understanding of modern quality methods (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to the table, alongside an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Mindset – Strong entrepreneurial mindset and execution focus with ‘startup sensibilities’ and thrives in a data driven culture. You have a growing passion for the role of quality data insights and leveraging analytics in your decision making.
