YOUR FUTURE ROLE\: EMEA Program Management Office – Project Director

• Enjoy a dual role, including 2 major dimensions\:
  • Shape and lead Oracle internal strategic new initiatives and improvement programs.
  • Mature the Oracle Consulting Emea’s Project Management skills and  establish a customer focussed project management culture
• Be a delivery oriented thought leader and take a key role in shaping, driving and continiously improving the EMEA Consulting business and driving it’s continious improvement.
• Lead by example and be a natural accepted mentor and go-to person for the Oracle Consulting practice managers and project managers.
• Serve as an internal change agent for having new initiatives, new ways of working and changes in our culture being understood and embraced within the complete EMEA Consulting organisation and/or wider Oracle ecosystem.

• Balance between multiple elements of this multi-faceted role, including (non-exhaustive)\:
  • Shape and lead strategic programs continiously transforming and improving Oracle Emea Consulting as a critical, steering and driving force within the wide Oracle ecosystem.

• • Have a wholistic overview of a portfolio of specific or key projects within a specific cluster.
  • Pro-actively, hands on and likely customer facing, putting some of these projects on the right track and react promptly and effectively on early warning signs within this portfolio.
  • Guide the projects in this portfolio to a focus on delivering to stakeholders expectations and to a focus of managing both stakeholders and commercial project Key Success Factor’s in parallel.

• • Be a core member of a ‘rapid reaction force’; A team reacting hands on, customer facing, on critical project situations or escalations (quick analysis of the situation, determine which are the right conditions to step in, support qualification, determine a clear remediation approach, applying right entry/exit criteria, manage stakeholders and act according to the approach until having met the exit criteria).

• • Be part of the day to day Emea PMO governance.

• Deliver the above services both towards the Emea Oracle Consulting clusters and to qualified partner projects.
  • While being collaborating with clusters and partners, do pick up trends and propose potential improvements that can help these clusters, partners or the wider ecosystem to become more effective and more successful.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Master degree or equivalent.
• Being a self starting, entrepreneural, self managing, resilient leader with a high level of adaptability (AQ).
• Ability to work effectively with and through a matrix and a virtual organisation, requiring management through influencing, based upon trust and leadership skills.
• Sophisticated executive  communication and interpersonal skills bringing multiple internal and customer stakeholders to common understanding and agreement
• Have a strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Personality and ability to establish a trustful relationship with executive level stakeholders within the Oracle organisation cross Line of Business and customers and partners outside the Oracle organisation.

• Have an extensive Consulting Delivery background.
• Successful track record as Program Director of transformational and international Cloud SaaS transformation projects.
• Have a clear view and experience on the different dynamics, approach and management style for scoping, selling and delivering Cloud SaaS implementations.
• Experience in managing Turn around of escalated IT transformation projects successfully with entry and exit criteria for engagement.
• Ability to develop a culture of focus on “Customer Success“ and “leadership” rather than “manage to contract” whilst still managing commercial constraints.

• Flexibility to work from home or travel across the region when required (assume max 50% travel –exceptionally needing travel on very short notice).

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar.
• International Consulting experience across the region.
• Become the advocate for the project management role inside and outside the organisation.
• Become the advocate for improvement and change within Emea Consulting and the wider ecosystem.
• Be recognised by the Consulting management as an admired leader and trusted ‘partner in crime’.
