As the Team Lead for GuitarTuna Monetization, you get a unique opportunity to lead an engineering team working on a world class product used and loved by tens of millions of people. Your team consists of great professionals who are passionate about giving our customers a great product. The team is in the backend of things, while still affecting user experience and owning a significant part of the product - monetization.  

In this role, you will report directly to GuitarTuna Engineering Team Lead and work in close collaboration also with other Tech Team leads, product managers and marketing team. You will also play a key role in the Engineering Management Team improving the way we work at Yousician. 

This position entails ownership of our agile product development processes at an operative level with the possibility to improve them for the whole company. As a leader in our engineering organization, more times than not, you will catalyze the team to produce effective results, however, it is advantageous if you can roll up your sleeves and be hands-on as well. 

What you'll do

• You will be leading the people and technical aspects of our GuitarTuna monetization development team 
• Be responsible for the frontend and backend of our monetization, as well as QA practices.
• You will participate in making technical decisions together with the engineering management team and plan and iterate the roadmap with other team leads. 
• You will be responsible for project scheduling together with the product manager and setting up important product milestones.
• You will make sure everything is going well for the people in the team, act as a specialist in finding the right people for the right job both from the team and in recruitment. 
• You will be planning and directing implementation and execution of efficient engineering practices and guidelines that help us to scale

Who you are

• Experience successfully leading, coaching and scaling development teams, preferably in mobile software development.  
• Demonstrated track-record of leading and developing efficient engineering practices (server side, front end, QA/testing) to hit the project targets
• Excellent planning, organizing and development skills while working in an agile development environment 
• Ability to efficiently present, communicate, and collaborate (in English) within an international organization
• Strong curiosity for new technologies, broad technical knowledge with in-depth understanding of software architectures and development processes
• Excellent capability to work both in operative and strategic level and easily switch between them
• It’s beneficial if you have been an active coder or a QA on a larger project and thus can relate to a situation of other people in the team
