We’re now looking for a proactive and business-minded Head of Sustainable Supplier Management to join us. This position will be located at one of our sites in Sweden or Finland. About the job

As our Sustainable Supplier Management Professional, you’re responsible for providing visibility and continuous improvement to our Sustainable Supplier Management globally. Your main focus is to provide processes, tools, reports, support, and improvements for sustainability evaluation of suppliers (acceptance and compliance to the Sandvik Supplier Code of Conduct) including risk screening and ratings of suppliers and the supplier audit program. You follow-up the outcome of the sustainability evaluation of suppliers when needed, and you escalate and providing support in resolving non-compliance issues. Being responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing sustainable supplier management practices across the business area SMR, you also establish the processes and set requirements, as well as coordinating the work for each division within the business area. In addition to this, you also collaborate, participate and develop common practices related to Sustainable Supplier Management for the entire Sandvik group where relevant.

Furthermore, you develop and conduct training related to supplier sustainability, associated risk management, and the related process and tools both – internally and with suppliers. Other key activities that you’re part of is the ongoing work with Conflict Minerals, REACH compliance and the commitment from Sandvik related to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). You also take part in developing the annual sustainability report regarding sustainable supplier management.

You report to the Head of BA Procurement Solutions, and you’re able to choose your own work location at one of our sites in Sweden or Finland. Within Sandvik we’re operating in a decentralized model where networking and collaboration with the divisions and sites in Sandvik is key for success.

Your skills and qualifications

Your background consists of either a master’s or bachelor’s degree with and/or educational background in CSR or Sustainability. To thrive in this role, you have at least five years professional experience. You have thorough experience of working with supply chain management with focus on sustainability and CSR in a global context. You have solid experience and knowledge in supplier evaluation and auditing. Experience from working with the Ecovadis platform for supplier evaluation and assessments is beneficial. Experience in areas such as conflict minerals, REACH and Science based targets initiative (SBTi) is an advantage. You need to be fluent in English, while Finnish, Swedish, Mandarin or Spanish is a plus.
