Wärtsilä global IM (Information Management) integrates processes, systems and information, supporting Wärtsilä’s businesses in developing the operations and innovating new business opportunities by utilising technology and information. Wärtsilä partners with world leading IT vendors and has a competent international IM organisation. We are looking for an Area IM Manager, North Europe to Wärtsilä Information Management. Main focus is to be the bridge between countries and local businesses and rest of IM.

Implementing global solutions as well as collecting local requirements are essential to be successful in this role. This is a manager role. Work is carried out in close co-operation with all other Information Management teams. 

You work as part of global ICT Services team and report to Director, ICT Services.

Location: This position can be located in north Europe in any of our Wärtsilä bigger locations.

As Area IM Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Manage stakeholders in own responsibility area
• Ensure the implementation of IM Strategy
• Secure the performance of IT Services
• Secure the functioning of all local IT infrastructure
• Work with rest of IM to deploy/manage/develop global solutions in the best possible way
• Ensure appropriate IT involvement and support in all local projects
• Coach, train and support all employees in the usage of IT solutions
• Coordinating with vendors, partners and other IM teams
• Following and sharing the best practices
• Lead the team of IM coordinators

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent understanding of IT
• Excellent customer focus and understanding
• Over 5-year experience in IT
• Ability to act as example and lead others
• Ability to manage big entities and recognize the relevant points 
• Ability to challenge vendors and current ways of working
• Ability to make things happen 
• Independent, proactive and goal-focused attitude to work
• Fluent written and spoken English, Finnish and Swedish
