My name is Marko Onikki, and I am leading the Cloud Service integration, configuration, and Demand Management team within our Network Cloud & Continuous Delivery unit. We are looking forward to onboard a new Cloud IP Network Engineer to our team. Your location can be in Solna (Sweden), Oslo (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Helsinki/Tampere (Finland).

The team’s role and responsibilities

The team is responsible for delivering Network Cloud Infrastructure and networking in Telia footprint in Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Lithuania. Networking domain is run in a “DevOps” setup including development, design, planning and operations.

Our goal is to deliver Network Cloud Infrastructure based on demand management and provide IP connectivity for the Cloud based services, with high quality and availability to ensure our customers have the best service in class.

As a member of the team, you will have a key role in delivering Cloud IP connectivity for the Cloud infrastructure and services running in Cloud platform. Delivery includes activities like design, planning, and deployment. You will participate to the service assurance process solving possible network issues indicated by alarms and performance management tools. Additionally, you have E2E connectivity responsibility to ensure that customer needs are always met.

Your role:

• Participate in network architecture and roadmap work
• Follow SAFe and Scrum practices
• Create connectivity designs for Cloud based services
• Integrate Cloud based services to the native IP network
• Deploy and Operate and Maintain Cloud based networking
• Provide relevant configurations, instructions, and trainings to other units
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve complex issues
• Work proactively to prevent faults
• Follow up network performance and quality
• Be part of the on-call duty

Your qualifications and experience:

• Excellent skills within the IP area (TCP/IP, BGP, QoS, ISIS, MPLS, LDP, Segment-Routing, EVPN)
• Experience with multi-vendor routed and switched networks
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches running IOS-XR, IOS-XE and IOS (eg. ASR, XRv, NCS)
• Some familiarity with other vendors like Nokia and Juniper routers is an advantage
• Experience from virtualising network connectivity and platforms (ideally VMware NSX)
• Some experience with network automation like NSO, Ansible, Python or at least a network automation mindset.
• CCIE or at least CCNP certified ideally in Service Provider track or Routing & Switching / Enterprise. Relevant knowledge/experience is also a qualifier.
• University degree in relevant field or similar knowledge/experience.
• Understanding Mobile technologies is an advantage
• Fluent English in both speaking and writing
