Are you one of our new colleagues as on-call trainee?

We are looking for two on-call trainees to our Central Supply Management team.

Location for the position is in Helsinki or Vaasa (Finland).

What do we expect from you?

What will help you in your work: You have knowledge in supply chain management, and importantly, you are ready to learn more. You have a mindset for problem-solving. You are fluent in English. You are able to you use MS Office tools (Email, Word, Excel) to support your work and have basic knowledge of SAP. You are curious, you dare to go into “cold water”, try out new ways to do things, to learn – every day.

What can you expect?
Picture yourself as part of our team: You handle tasks jointly as a member of our on-call trainee team of four. The tasks are in our team's areas and depend on your knowledge and experience. Some are bigger assignments where you are working closely with others, some are smaller tasks that you carry out mainly on your own. The assignments are mainly of project nature, having a start and end date. You have a way to express matters clearly to others, as you will be in touch with persons also from different countries.

Who are we?
The Central Supply Management team has a global role in Wärtsilä supply chain management.
We create value to Wärtsilä through developing globally aligned processes, tools and competences, and providing expertise support through user support, coaching and training. We work with colleagues in all Business units, especially in sourcing, operative purchasing, project management, product management and technical expertise, including also colleagues in the indirect purchasing function.

Central Supply Management has ownership globally in Wärtsilä supply chain management for the following:

  • Sourcing to Contract process framework and tools
  • Requisition to Pay process framework and tools
  • Supply chain performance (quality, delivery, cost) development methods and tools for supply chain
  • Reporting and Analytics for supply chain management
  • Dedicated focus on e-tools in all these areas
