NAPA Design Solutions team develops ship design software. Our 3D modeling and design functionalities are the most powerful, making the ship design process the best. Built-in development and customizable capabilities enable users to automate repetitive tasks and include user-specific ship design know-how in the system. The largest shipyards in the world use our software.

The role – what is it about?

One of your primary responsibilities in this Software Developer role is UI (user interface) development with WPF, C#, and XAML. Development, testing, and maintenance of the NAPA ship design solution are also part of your daily work.

You will be working with .NET Desktop applications, native libraries, third-party components – including 3D graphics library, database engines, licensing solution, etc.

This job is permanent and full-time.

Your team and job location

You will work in a 5-member Platform team where your closest colleagues are experienced software developers who will help and guide you in your new role. You will also interact with local and global colleagues from various teams in software development, UX design, DevOps, and sales.

Our office is located in Helsinki (Ruoholahti) and you can work at the office or in hybrid mode.

What are we looking for?

The most important thing is that you want to do and learn UI development even if you don’t have much experience in it yet. You also have good teamwork skills and can communicate fluently in English.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • enthusiasm and passion for UI development
  • experience using WPF, C#, and XAML
  • 1+ years’ earlier experience in desktop application development

It would be a bonus if you also had:

  • experience/knowledge in UI development
  • understanding of UI design
  • degree in computer science or other relevant education
  • experience with database solutions
  • experience in automated testing methods
  • knowledge of software reliability and maintainability
  • interest towards NAPA’s domain (maritime business)
