Information Management (IM) is part of new Digital Organisation. IM integrates processes, systems and information, supporting businesses in digitizing the core operations and enables new digital business opportunities via technology and information. For development minded person, IM offers an opportunity to shape the future of its IT environment and be part of the global digital transformation.

We are now looking for a Solution expert in WebApp development as Full Stack Developer who is comfortable working in both Front End and Back End technologies. A full stack developer would be expected to understand everything from databases, though server programming languages. Responsible for developing Front end UIs, WebApps.to improve usability of Wärtsilä PDM/PLM.

The location for this permanent position is in Finland (Helsinki, Turku, Vaasa) with hybrid remote work possibilities. 

What will you be doing? 


As Full Stack Developer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Improve User Experience: Ease of Use & Satisfaction of PDM/PLM as per usability roadmap
  • Exploring and developing WebApps for PDM/PLM platform
  • Designing & developing APIs to support the WebApps
  • Service transition of WebApps
  • Taking control of current PLM WebApps
  • Executing Code reviews to ensure quality of delivery
  • Adopting DevOps tools and methodology
  • Requirement management and Service design experience

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Is familiar with PDM/PLM, Service lifecycle Management-area (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter)
  • Has experience in developing  Front end development , WebApps for min. 5 years
  • Full Stack development skills : Front end and backend technologies, preferably Java / Play but any web framework.
  • Cloud platforms experience
  • Experience with developing Single Page Applications
  • Familiar with APIs & Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience with Database MS SQL
  • Experience in DevOps & Agile methodology
  • Understands information flow and integrations
  • Has strong communication, presentation and personal skills
  • Has fluent written and spoken English
  • Is willing to travel
  • Has M.Sc. or B.Sc. or equivalent
