QEHS Thesis Worker

Are you looking to do your thesis work in a multicultural company while working abroad? We have an amazing opportunity for you! 

We are looking for a thesis worker to Wärtsilä Marine Systems Exhaust Treatment, which is a business unit developing, selling and maintaining abatement technologies, that currently has around 200 employees. 

The preferred position is in Finland (Vaasa/Turku/Helsinki) but also Norway (Moss region) might be considered.

Main tasks and responsibilities 

  • First and foremost, your thesis. The exact topic will depend on your background and your interests. A generally good topic in the context of QEHS is something related to environmental footprint of the abatement product from the cradle to the grave.
  • Paternity leave substitute, including monthly QEHS reporting and facilitator of PIP development forum.
  • Additionally, you will be supporting and sometimes personally driving QEHS matters. These may be related to your thesis and are a valuable way to collect data. 

Qualifications:

  • Nearly completed Master of Science in Environmental Management, Sustainability or equivalent.
  • Very good written and oral English
  • Very good use of MS Office tools. SAP, Power BI and UiPath skills are seen as a plus.
