Job Description

The molecular mechanisms of transcription research group at the department of Life Technologies, University of Turku is looking for a Trainee or a Research Assistant to study the molecular mechanisms of transcription and nucleoside analogue inhibitors of RNA polymerases. Typical research tasks include protein expression and purification and in vitro transcription experiments.

Required Basic Skills

Practical and theoretical knowledge of protein expression and purification, nucleic acid purification, experience in using chromatography systems, bacterial cultivation equipment such as shakers and fermenters. Experience with purification of bacterial RNA polymerases is considered a plus.

Duration and Salary

Duration of the position is 15.02.2023-30.04.2023.

For a Trainee salary is 1331€/month and for a Research Assistant salary is between 2032€ – 2108€/month depending on study progress and qualifications.
