Our Production IT/Hosting team in Helsinki is growing and we are looking for a System Architect for full-time position.

As a System Architect, you will be responsible for production environment architecture. You perform demanding system design and analysis work for system development projects. Also you are responsible for providing architectural oversight. You work under minimal supervision.

• Provides strategic direction for production IT environment development in terms of technology and architecture, including monitoring, administration and backup tools and practices.
• Works with the system administrators and RD to ensure that required modifications are included in the appropriate release to support cross product features.
• Performs demanding design work for system development projects.
• Works with third party vendors to integrate their systems into company’s platforms.
• Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within company’s environments
• Follows up standardization and development of IT technologies.
• Travel as necessary.
• Other responsibilities will be assigned as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science, or information technology.
• Minimum of 8 years of technical experience in IT systems development environment.
• Must have technical and comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software platforms.
• Experience from some of the following areas is expected: Operating Systems, Virtualization, Databases, Directory Services, Container platforms, Java EE Application Servers, Load Balancers and IT Security.
• Must have excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills.
• Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Must be a team oriented person with a “can do” attitude.
