You’ll work at the intersection of design, engineering, and product, influencing how RELEX teams ship fast, consistent, and user-centric solutions at scale.  What You’ll Do: <ul> <li>Own the architecture and technical direction of our Design System and its adoption across product teams </li> <li>Act as a facilitator and decision maker in product, design system and company level frontend architectural strategy and alignment discussions </li> <li>Communicate and document architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders </li> <li>Contribute turning the architectural design into reality by supporting the teams building the solutions using TypeScript and React </li> <li>Build and guide the evolution of foundational components (like Data Tables, Modals, Form patterns) that impact dozens of teams </li> <li>Shape and enforce coding standards, patterns, and contribution practices that support scalable, maintainable code. </li> <li>Mentor and guide engineers contributing to the Design System and champion knowledge sharing </li> </ul> The role encompasses both strategic oversight and hands-on collaboration with development teams to ensure that the Design System evolves in line with customer expectations and technical best practices  We’re looking for:  <ul> <li>8+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a focus on scalable, maintainable, high-performance components. Experience with a design system is a must. </li> <li>Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Storybook, and RTI/Jest </li> <li>Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate decision making and clearly explain architectural choices to both technical and non-technical audiences </li> <li>Proactive, strategic thinker who can identify technical risks and propose scalable solutions early on </li> <li>Comfortable making and owning decisions that have long-term impact on design and engineering practices </li> <li>Ability to balance long-term system thinking with short-term product needs </li> <li>Ability to design and guide implementation of flexible, composable, and well-documented component APIs </li> <li>Experience of working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams </li> <li>Familiarity with Figma, keyboard navigation, and responsive design best practices </li> </ul> The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of frontend architecture, who can confidently drive system-wide decisions, align cross-functional teams, elevate the technical foundation of our Design System and have an impact to the companywide frontend architecture.    What this role brings to you:  <ul> <li>Big impact: Shape how product teams across RELEX build and scale their UIs </li> <li>Technical growth: Solve unique architecture challenges at scale, mentor others, and define the future of Design System at RELEX </li> <li>Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product, design and engineering leads across countries and domains </li> <li>Room to innovate: We encourage initiative and experimentation — whether it’s architecture, automation, or tooling improvements </li> <li>Human-first culture: A supportive environment where your input matters and your growth is prioritized </li> </ul> Finland  RELEXians can be found around the world, but here we’re based in Helsinki.
