Product Manager manages activities necessary to ensure successful product performance in the market by CRF Health. This includes impacting on CRF Health’s product and strategic objectives, driving strategy down to timely execution of R&D and related service Roadmaps together with R&D. Plays a strong pro-active role in the planning and design of CRF Health products and services to ensure that products are competitive and priced accordingly in the market. Is pro-actively involved with product and related services through all stages of their life cycle, including, market understanding, market research, conception, definition, development, release, sales and sales support and post-release activities. Has a key role in planning sales and marketing for new products and related services.  Operates under general supervision of VP, eCOA & IoMT Product Management, with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Strategy: Collects the requirements from wide latitude of touchpoints (customers, ops, trends, market analysis, strategies, company touchpoints) and formalizes the company product business plan to target product. Initiates the product strategies on target area and contributes on company product portfolio plans.
  2. R&D: Operates closely with R&D to map the requirements to workable product plan and releases. Collaborates with product management and R&D for holistic product plan for the company and breaking it down to operative R&D trains.
  3. Align product deliverables with operations and ensures new product introduction is done for the ops to map the possible new competencies, changes in processes and lead customer needs into the company operative plans and successful product delivery
  4. Product communication. Professional ownership of the product and initiates the company market messages, GTM plans and press releases.
  5. Operates closely with Sales to position the product to lead accounts and helping with lead customer sell-in / support processes. Develops required trainings.
  6. Is accountable of the product profitability and competitive landscape of the product. Generates logical product pricing for company price books.
  7. Gathers the product data, features and trends from lead customer, competitive products, workshops, strategies, company portfolio plans, user group meetings, special promotions to map a holistic market data on the product

DECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE

  1. Decision making on product positioning and features based on the set budget frames
  2. Decision making on product roadmap and related positioning – together with rest of the product management. Mapping the product into full company product stack
  3. Maximizing the company value from product perspective
  4. Gating the product take-off based on the readiness via sell-in Triage process
  5. Decision on lead customer targeting and marketing positioning
  6. Influencing on company portfolio strategy, company pricing and product sell-in process

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Essential (maximum 10):

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in technology or business.  Advanced Degree is a plus.
  1. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in product support, product planning or consulting environment
  2. Must have excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, project planning and implementation
  3. Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
  4. Must be a team-oriented person with a “can do” attitude.
  5. Independency and self motivation. High information seeking skills from different touchpoints (customers, market, competitors …) and ability to form a market based situation view and related action plan for the product

Desirable (maximum 5):

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in technology or business. Advanced Degree is a plus.
  2. Background of managing complex products within the large portfolio.
  3. Understanding of the budgeting and general product process. Long term view while ability to execute what is needed
  4. Ability to develop personal relationships with lead customers and internally with different organisational touchpoints
