We’re looking for Backend Developers or Cloud Architects to join our crew!

‘WHAT WOULD I BE DOING’, YOU ASK?

Recently we have been building cloud backends and architectures for financial institutions, healthcare sector, retail and logistics. Our developers regularly work on machine learning, data analysis and data pipelines, their daily work consisting of designing and building infrastructures, microservices and scalable backends. So real, heavy, hands-on programming. That's what we do. Being consultants and experts in our field, we consult our customers on the best technologies and solutions starting as early as the sales phase of the project. But your primary role is being a developer, working closely with the customer.

Your previous AWS, GCP or Azure experience ensures that you will be easily absorbed into our projects. In addition to coding, you could be mentoring our juniors, as well as arranging and attending tech events. And if you feel like sharing your knowledge in our meetups, you’re more than welcome to host and present.

We’ll provide you with tools and opportunities to develop your skills further, as well as the freedom to come up with your own ways to create. You will also have the opportunity to create your own development path as a professional. Our coaching process supports you if you want to be a backend-developer-turned-into-a-cloud-architect, or, e.g. get more heavily into data science. No matter what your position in our backend team would be when you arrive at Qvik, you can be sure that there are a lot of development possibilities available.

WHO ARE YOU?

You know your way around the essentials such as Node.js, Python and its frameworks, and maybe even Go. You probably have previous experience in AWS, GCP or Azure cloud solutions, even certifications, or at least have the hunger to learn. You may already be familiar with managed platforms. You enjoy building and designing infrastructures, and are on fire when talking about anything running on the App Engine.

If you already are an architect or aim at becoming one, you probably have a deep understanding of, among others, network design, serverless design patterns, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), cloud native architecture designs and managed services. Your programming skills are on a good level, and you want to keep your hands on the keyboard in the future, as well. For you, orchestrating containers instead of servers is the best thing and microservices the way to go.

You want to work in a team, be a good colleague and deeply understand the needs of a customer. You know agile methodologies and have good English language skills.
