As a Senior Application Engineer for u-blox positioning products you will have an interesting opportunity to work with internal engineering, product marketing, field application engineering and sales team to help clear roadblocks towards commercializing automotive, consumer and industrial products within u-blox positioning technology. In this role you will also support customer design-in activities on/off-shore, review and debug software and hardware from customers and provide technical information (customer documentations).This job requires traveling to customer sites and events in domestic and international locations. The Role can be located in Finland (Tampere or Espoo) or UK (Reigate).Your Responsibilities

• Senior Technical lead for defined domain in a global Application Engineering team with members in Finland, Switzerland and UK
  • Managing customers’ expectations and coordinate information from customer projects
  • Coordinate the cross team activities internally with Product managers and R&D stakeholders for customer beneficial solutions
• Provide 2^nd level support for defined domains
  • Via case system, telephone and/or on-site customer support on u-blox GNSS positioning products
  • Off/On-shore support customer application for system bring-up and performance optimization
  • Daily interaction with internal and external peers, including direct customers interaction from design-in phase up to maintenance
• Host technical trainings for internal and external customers around world
• Member of RnD product development team as AE lead
  • Interface to the Application Engineering
  • Owner of the technical product documentation

• MSc in  computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in technical customer support with excellent analytical problem solving skills
• Hands-on knowledge of embedded software and/or hardware design
• Customer-oriented, needs to be able to quickly understand the system architecture of customer's application, and advise field application engineers or key customer on possibilities, and consult on a technical level
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

• Experience in Global Positioning Systems / GNSS technology
• Experience in programming and scripting languages like Cand Python
• Experience in operating systems like Linux and Android
