We are looking for SoC FAE, Field Application Engineer, to join our SoC (System on Chip) organization.
Job Description
In your role, you would work in close co-operation with customer teams who are integrating SoCs in product programs. Work also contains co-operation with SoC HW and SW development teams.
We are looking for a SoC FAE for SoC projects. Your will work in our prototyping team to learn the chip functionality. You will verify SoC in pre-silicon phase where testing is done using Emulation or FPGA prototype verification platforms. After the pre-silicon phase you will validate the SoC in silicon phase.
You will be our contact point for the customer programs that are integration the SoC into products. You will help customers to understand how SoC shall be configured in their application. You will also participate debugging the issues customer has with the SoC in their application. Traveling to customer site is expected.
Responsibilities
Your responsibility is to make the life of our customers as easy as possible. You will teach them to use our ASICs and FPGAs. You will work with the customer to find the right configurations for the customer applications. You will participate customer product bringup as SoC expert. You will debug the issues together with the customer. Our R&D team will support you to succeed.
As a SoC FAE you are also working as a Prototype Verification Specialist on a SoC Prototyping and Qualification area. You will be a verification engineer testing top level in SoC, ASIC or FPGA project. You would also be responsible for test specification and test executions for new features and integrating hardware related SW to SoC. You need to be able to plan and specify SoC prototype testing based on requirements and other technical documentation and guide verification work of other engineers.
Desired Skills
To be successful in this position you should have in-depth knowledge of SoC HW/SW implementation, verification and SoC design flow. As a role of SoC FAE you should develop skills on our current product features, tools and design flows and facilitate adoption of these solutions with a variety of internal customer systems. Expected work experience is more than 10 years in corresponding role. We expect you to have knowledge of digital signal processing and modeling tools such as Matlab. You need to be able to use languages like Python and/or C/++ in your work for Prototyping verification development.
Capability to understand SoC Architecture, HW and SW documentation is essential. Benefit of understanding usage of RF measurements equipments. You should also be proactive, motivated and able to act on own initiative. Excellent teamwork, presentation and communication skills are needed in the daily work of our multicultural organization structure and for generating technical solutions and successfully implement them at the internal customers. In this role you should need to be capable to travel to customer onsite support as needed.
