Metsä Board Supply Chain, Logistics in Espoo, Finland is looking for

TRANSPORT PLANNER, SHIPPING COORDINATION

to strengthen Shipping Coordination team in autumn 2019. Shipping Coordination team has an operative responsibility of all sea leg transport planning and capacity reservations for Metsä Board Finnish mills and for Husum mill in Sweden (oversea & US traffic). The team is operatively booking approx. 1,5 million tons an annual basis.

What's your role in the future Metsä?

 Your main responsibilities are:
- To plan transports and book vessel capacity according to agreed guidelines and processes
- To co-ordinate proactively corrective actions in case of exceptional circumstances inside own market / traffic area according to given guidelines and processes
- Upon request from Customer Service to guarantee requested delivery to nominated delivery location
- Communication with contacts such as Customer Services, Production and Demand planning, Mill Logistics, Distribution offices, Shipping lines/Carriers and Port operators

As Transport Planner, Shipping Coordination you will report to Shipping Co. & Port Operations Manager.

What are we looking for?

We expect you to have position relevant education and knowledge and experience of Maritime operations. Preferably you have excellent MS Office skills as well as SAP R/3 and TM/APO environments. To be successful in this position you will need to be a good team player with good stress resistance and ability to balance multiple priorities. Also the position requires openness to an international working environment and accurate and efficient working methods. Good verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English are also required.
