We are looking for a Logistics Business Process Support to join our Logistics Sourcing team for a permanent position. The primary location is in our office in Kotka or alternatively in Helsinki.

UPM Logistics Sourcing is responsible for the global maritime and port network and related supplier management. Strategic priority is to secure customer satisfaction, leverage synergies and economies of scale in UPM Group.

In our innovative sea traffic development we explore benefits from today’s new technology, digitalization and automation development together with our supplier network. Operations are characterized by continuous improvements and having emphasized focus in ensuring environmental efficiency of the provided services. The logistics operations are complemented by several supportive and enabling functions which include Customs Clearance, Logistic Administration, Business Process Support & Analytics, Cargo Care and Safety & Security.

We are now looking for an expert of digitalisation and new technologies to join our Business Process Support team. Our intention is to strengthen digitalisation skills in our organisation and seek a new type of competence to enhance the digital transformation in our operations.

What you’ll do

  • Enhancing the digital transformation in sea-logistics related themes, processes and operational environment in Logistics Sourcing organisation
  • Contributing in different logistics related development projects
  • Developing and fine-tuning Logistics Sourcing related processes together with all Logistics Sourcing teams and our internal and external stakeholders
  • Bringing your experience and understanding of digital tools and channels to our team and contributing to Logistics Sourcing development road map
  • Contributing in change management and supporting activities including active communication and guidance of end-users and stakeholders, process documentation and end-user trainings
  • Driving, initiating and supporting Logistics Process and technology development

Who you are

  • You have deep knowledge and hands-on experience related to digitalisation technologies
  • You have a good understanding about business and data architecture and ability to interpret those into logistics processes and vice versa, as well as good understanding of master data’s role as a part of processes
  • You understand logistics environment and terminology
  • You have hands-on system experience with MS Office tools (Power BI, Excel, Visio, Access), SQL, Lavastorm/Dataverse
  • You have a Bachelor´s or Master's degree in relevant field and minimum 2-5 years of applicable working experience
  • You are an innovative person with an initiative mindset and enthusiasm to experiment
  • You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • You are well-organized and able to prioritize
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
