Soar Program Architect, SaaS Business Development EMEA, Oracle Consulting
SUMMARY
OF RESPONSIBILITIES\:
Oracle
Consulting SaaS Business Development in EMEA is responsible for driving the development
of the Soar programme, which is Oracle’s Applications strategy for enabling
Oracle’s existing On-Premises ERP (Enterprise Resourcing Planning including
finance and procurement), HCM (Human Capital Management, including learning and
recruitment) and EPM (Enterprise Performance Management, including financial
planning and consolidation) customers (our “Installed Base”) to move
efficiently and securely to the Oracle Cloud SaaS platform. This is also one of the enablers of Oracle
Consulting’s ambitious strategy to lead all our consulting engagements based on
pre-built Intellectual Property-based solutions (“IP”).
To
deliver on this requires talented and ambitious individuals to Manage, Organise
and Deliver high-quality and complete sales engagements that reflect the full
Soar Value Proposition to our Installed Base customers. Customer engagements under the Soar programme
are expected to follow Oracle’s preferred engagement model, the “Future Ready
Journey” which is a structured 12-step approach to progressing through the
sales cycle, and the SaaS Business Development team are expected to be
ambassadors for this engagement model across Oracle and with customers.
The Soar
programme operates across our Installed Base in the ERP, EPM and HCM Domains,
and the SaaS Business Development team works collaboratively with all Lines of
Business within Oracle, plus IP Domain Leaders within Oracle Consulting. The scope of the programme is also expected
to expand into further Domains (such as CX) to address an increasing population
of our Installed Base customers.
The specific responsibilities of the Soar Program Architect role include\:
- Reporting to the Soar Director, EMEA SaaS Business Development, EMEA Consulting.
- Represent the EMEA Soar Central team in Cross-Line of Business meetings.
- Provide expert leadership in the development of Soar estimations that comply with the intent of the full Soar Value Proposition, co-creating with local country bid management and sales management.
- Provide expert leadership in the development of Soar customer proposals that comply with the intent of the full Soar Value Proposition, co-creating with local country bid management and sales management.
- Engage with the wider virtual central response team resources (functional and architect consulting resources) to provide additional central team resource support to local big management and sales management teams.
- Drive the enablement of local country bid management and sales management, so that they are proficient in the application of the full Soar Value Proposition, providing ongoing Central team support as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of Soar Program IP, collaborating with the IP Domain Leaders to influence IP development prioritisation and investment.
- Collaborate with the wider Consulting sales and delivery teams across EMEA to drive Soar Value Proposition alignment and execution.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE\:
- In-depth knowledge of at least one, and preferably all, of the ERP, EPM and HCM Domains.
- Experience of leading and managing diverse individuals across international boundaries.
- Experience of leading pre-sales engagements, specifically solution presentation and customer business value alignment.
- Experience of selling and delivering Domain-related services.
- Experience of selling and delivering Oracle Cloud services.
- Proven ability to work in a flexible, rapidly-changing environment.
- Experience in working with virtual teams to achieve results.
- Product lifecycle management experience preferred.
- Experience of defining and implementing process improvement.
- Proven ability to work to challenging deadlines and to prioritise own workload accordingly.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Finance & Accounting degree and/or professional accountancy qualification, or equivalent.

DETAILED
DESCRIPTION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS\:
As a
member of the Soar programme Central team within EMEA SaaS Business
Development, the Soar Program Architect is a key role within EMEA Consulting. He or she will report directly to the Soar Director
and will drive the execution of high-quality deliverables linked specifically
to the Soar programme/campaign. The Soar
Program Architect will be responsible for providing expert leadership in the
development of customer proposals and estimations that are in line with the
full Soar Value Proposition, co-creating with country local teams. The role will also work closely with the
Consulting IP Domain Leaders to define, develop and continually evolve IP for
the Soar program, participating fully in Soar and IP governance, with this IP to
be consumed by the whole of the International Consulting region (EMEA, APAC and
Japan).
The Soar
Program Architect role requires close collaboration with, and development of, a
wide-ranging network of contacts across the Oracle Lines of Business, including
Consulting, Application Sales, Solution Engineering (Presales), Insight and
local Business Development teams. Behaving as an ambassador for the Soar
Program, the full Soar Value Proposition and Oracle Consulting’s IP-centric
strategy, is a key aspect of the role whether this is with internal resources
across the Oracle Lines of Business or external stakeholders including
customers. As a member of the Central
team for the Soar Program, the Soar Program Architect will play an active role
in Soar program governance and the leadership of the SaaS Business Development
organisation.
At least
8 years of experience relevant to this position, including at least 4 year of
consulting experience. Prior team
leadership or management experience preferred.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product expertise relevant to the
responsibilities of the role. Ability to
communicate effectively. Ability to
build rapport with team members and clients.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills. High levels of energy, passion, creativity
and enthusiasm. Self-starting and
independently-driven. Ability to travel
as needed.
