We are now looking for a

HEAD OF GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT/DEVELOPMENT

Analyst, Optimizer, Idea Supplier – as head of Global Supply Chain Management and Development you lead your team with a high focus and you are responsible for the strategic orientation and further development of procurement and logistics within the MEYER Group.

In this role you work closely with the departments of Engineering, Production, Logistics, IT and Project Management at all locations. In this responsible position you report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer. 

Your responsibilities

As the Head of Global Supply Chain Management/Development, you are in charge of the operational and strategic management of the department in compliance with corporate and management principles.

You will be responsible for group-wide procurement and logistics controlling with comparable KPIs. You are in charge of development of the group-wide "Procurement Rules and Regulations" as well as disciplinary staff management and development of employees. 

You are in charge for cross-site conception, coordination, further development and implementation in the following areas:
– Risk- and Supplier Relationship Management
– Category Management
– Supply Chain Management
– IT-Tools (ERP) and Processes
– Digitalisation strategy 

Who we are looking for 

We hope you have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience and 5+ years’ professional experience.

To succeed in this role, you need excellent structured and solution-oriented working method, time management skills, enforcement skills as well as experience in leadership and employee development. Good communication skills and intercultural competence are useful in this position. 

You should have willingness to travel frequently between group locations. You need good verbal and written English skills and a strong understanding of overarching business relationships.
