ICEYE is building the world’s largest constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. The satellites can

take images at any time of day – even when it’s cloudy or dark – and those images will let our customers

understand the world better and make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite

in January 2018 and raised $65M in financing to date.

To support the growth of the company, we are now looking for a Director in Project Delivery Management area to join our team. This position is located in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

Responibilities

• Lead a team of project managers in the successful management and execution of 10+ concurrent projects ranging from software project development to manufacturing of SAR spacecraft.
• Establish processes for systematic project kick-offs, execution, reporting and final deployment and/or project close-out.
• Oversee all customer-facing development contracts (project delivery) and assume duties as the primary point of contract until commitments are met or turned over to operations.
• Responsible for creating and coordinating project roadmaps across all teams to ensure customer commitments and internal projects are prioritized and/or deconflicted accordingly and delivered on-time.
• Hire and provide people management + career development to a technical diverse team of project managers and product managers.

Requirements

Experience

• Strong proven management in leading a team of +6 technical project managers in the successful delivery of complex cross-team projects from inception to completion. (3+years)
• Total experience working in space or comparable industry of 10+ years
• Relevant educational background

Skills

• Strong ability to pro-actively manage, motivate, communicate with, and push ICEYE Technical Leadership and key stakeholder to deliver on commitments
• Critically attentive to detail to include establishing milestones, dependencies and risk mitigation plans
• Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated in a highly disparate environment juggling multiple projects
• Advanced verbal and written communications skills (technical fluency in English required)
• Strong people skills / demonstrated interpersonal skills – experience with diverse cultural and technical backgrounds preferred
