ICEYE is building the world’s largest constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. The satellites can

take images at any time of day – even when it’s cloudy or dark – and those images will let our customers

understand the world better and make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite

in January 2018 and raised $65M in financing to date.

To support the growth of the company, we are now looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team. This

position is located in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

Responsibilities:

Technical Project Manager responsibilities include delivering every project on time within budget and scope. A

Technical Project Manager should in addition to suitable technical knowledge, have a background in business

skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of technical projects, including new implementations and adding features to our production systems
  • Analyzing and assessing mission concepts and scenarios
  • Coordinating and performing systems debugging and analysis needed to support constellation operations
  • Project management for system-wide software tools and procedure implementation for satellite constellation management
  • Assist in the definition of project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, including creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with clients and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills

Requirements

  • Relevant educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
  • Good understanding of Software Development, Radio Frequency propagation and Orbital Mechanics
  • Proven work experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plu
