We are looking for a Functional Safety Specialist at ABB Oy, Drives Business Line in Helsinki. In this position, you will be ensuring the correct execution of functional safety related product creation process as well as supporting other teams.

Your responsibilities

Ensuring the correct execution of functional safety related product creation process, including e.g. requirement specifications, risk assessments, supporting design teams, safety data calculations, reviews and assessments, communication with authorities. Applying and maintaining functional safety product certifications. Acting as the functional safety specialist in the organization, in functional safety related product certifications, management system, regulations and standards related to drives. Supporting sales, order-based design and product management teams with customer inquiries and customer projects. Close co-operation with many teams within the organization and authorities. Your background

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in technology, power electronics or electronics. A few years of work experience with functional safety. Spontaneous, practical and precise approach to work as well as quality process orientation. Good PC skills, solid skills in MS Office tools. Good written and spoken communication skills in English. Knowledge of electric drives, quality management systems and quality processes is seen as an advantage. Knowledge and experience of functional safety product certifications is considered an advantage. Ideally you have good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish.
