As a 5G RF Field Testing Engineer / Drone pilot, you will be a member of a highly skilled specialist 5G radio integration team located in Oulu OTAVA laboratory. New innovative solutions and testing methods are highly supported in our working culture. Your main responsibility will be integrating & validating that the 5G RF products in the field fulfills its performance and functionality criteria.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Telecommunications or other similar area's
You have some previous experience of Arducopter / Drone - RC equipment
Experience using basic RF measurement equipment’s
Knowledge of Rasberry Pi / Linux / C / Arduino
Ability to work independently and in teams
Fast learning and can work efficiently in multi-site/cultural environment
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be a plus
You have some previous experience with latest 5G 3GPP wireless standards including previous technologies 3G/4G/LTE.
Hands-on test and debugging capability and ability to improve the performance of the overall wireless connection.
Understanding of TCP, SCTP, IP protocols and networking
Knowledge of BTS level system
Understand the interactions between user equipment (UE) and the evolved node B (eNB).
Experience using basic protocol analyzers and beam scanners
Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Perl, Shell, Bash)
Nokia Radio product eNB in commissioning, integration, software upgrade and on-site technical support
Previous experience to capture wireless conditions in the field for replay in the lab.
Capable to evaluate the impact on performance of MIMO, beamforming, and scheduling.
Reveal the nature of complex antenna and modulation schemes.
