We are looking for a Service Product Engineer for Outotec’s Smelting & Hydrometallurgy Service Product Management. You will be responsible for the development of Service Product portfolio, with a focus on spare parts. In this role, you will be developing Outotec’s service approach to respond customer needs in equipment operation and maintenance. You will work in tight cooperation with other teams and Business lines inside Outotec and directly with our market areas.

As Service Product Engineer, you will:
  • Participate in new product development securing easy operation and maintainability of the technology and appropriate spare part definitions - "Designed for Service"
  • Develop spare part recommendations to respond customers’ asset management and maintenance practices
  • Update the documentation of the Service Products in PDM system according to external and internal feedback – Product Continuous Improvement (PCI)
  • Lead internal and external resources in documentation creation and verify documentation
  • Give technical support for deliveries in engineering, supply/production, implementation and start-up
  • Improve legacy/installed base data according to business needs
  • Share product knowledge with global technical support, sales and service organization by training and information sharing
To succeed, you will need:
  • Master of Science/Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar
  • Experience in product sustaining & development
  • Flexibility and ability to take on different tasks, lead problem solving and manage changes
  • Technical knowledge in areas of mechanics
  • Good team working skills and ability to work independently and proactively
  • Excellent skill in SAP, PDM and Microsoft Excel will be highly regarded
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish
