Software Developers – Passenger Information Systems

to work on the future of on-board systems and solutions in our office in Tampere, Finland.

Teleste offers an integrated product and service portfolio that makes ecological public transportation more attractive for passengers. Our unit in Tampere specializes on on-board systems for rolling stock vehicles, including Passenger Information, CCTV, Phone and Public Address. Our solutions are on display globally, and our fingerprints can be found in trains, trams and metros on all continents.

As our Software Developer, you will be a member of a software development team, consisting of around 30 professionals in Finland and in Poland, implementing new features for our Passenger Information System products that are used on-board in trains, trams and metros. You can see the concrete results of your work in hundreds of trains and trams, used every day by tens of thousands of passengers in Europe, Middle East and North America.

You are enthusiastic about programming, problem solving and debugging, and you are not afraid of hardware either. Ideally, you have 3+ years of relevant working experience and the following knowledge and expertise:

• Good Java programming skills
• Linux development and runtime environment, including shell scripting
• Quality-driven mindset
• Good communication and team working skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Good capability to understand complex system architectures
• Knowledge and experience on other programming and scripting languages, such as C, Clojure or Python are a definite plus
