Cloud Platform Development Engineer

NESC is establishing a new team that is focusing on bringing the scalability and usability of the platform to new level. We will be Architecting, developing and deploying platform that can serve thousands of users and handle millions of actions a day started by our users. You would be working with technologies such as Openstack, Ceph, IP-Networking, Redis, InfluxDB, Python, Golang and Ansible. We are looking for various skills within the team from developers to testers, so you don’t need to know all of them at start. But we do require good understanding of Linux and passion to learn new things as part of daily life.
We value wide experience including with some of these technologies
•Good software development skills (Golang, python)
•Experience with Linux & system administration
•Experience with automation tools (Ansible)
•Knowledge with cloud platforms (OpenStack, CEPH, Kubernetes)
•Familiarity of monitoring tools (legacy OP5/Nagios, Sensu, metric-based Prometheus)
•Knowledge of IP-networks (IPv4, IPv6)
•Understanding operations at larger scale for zero downtime
•Familiarity with SQL, Redis and other common database tools
•Familiarity with SRE model
•Readiness for cloud certificates
•Familiarity with tools such as git, JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint
•Ability to work independently and part of group
