We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Development Engineer to join our quality and technical material management team (QTMM) in Products and Marketing unit.  

Material Development develops new compounds and controls the quality of materials used in production. Laboratory has wide variety of testing equipment for physical and analytical testing of compounds and raw materials. Your role will be an important part of this organization and requires active collaboration with different organizations within the company. This position is temporary until April 2021. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Quality assessment and quality development of raw materials and rubber compounds 
  • Second sourcing of raw materials 
  • Approval of new raw material suppliers 
  • Support of R&D material development projects 
  • Working as a team member in the QTMM  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Material Technology 
  • 1-3 years professional experience in field of material technology  
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments 
  • Relevant work experience of laboratory testing methods 
  • Fast learner and able to manage several duties simultaneously  
  • Ability to make fast decisions in quality related issues  
  • Comfortable to work with different software environments  
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and under pressure  
  • Able to use Finnish and English as working languages
