We are now looking for a

IoT Cybersecurity Architect

In this role, you will join our product cybersecurity experts at the KONE Software Center, Hyvinkää Finland as a IoT Cybersecurity Architect. You will work together with software professionals to develop advanced KONE digital solutions that leverage the latest in connectivity, cloud and mobile technologies.

You are a software development expert who is passionate about security throughout the software development lifecycle. You have practical experience in implementing secure software and in leading developers through the Security Development Lifecycle processes for consistency and visibility. You are familiar with security architecture patterns and you know how to apply them in practice. You don’t shy away from getting hands on with developers to guide them or help them implement the necessary security requirements.   

You have an ability to communicate to various audiences and you can both deal with big picture as well as with details when so required. You work at your best when you are working with people and you enjoy helping others.

Responsibilities

-Work with development teams (both in-house and external) to provide security architecture and requirements to embedded control systems and connected IoT devices.

-Work hand-in-hand with development teams to support the secure design & implementation of IoT systems.

-Develop processes, guidelines, and best practices to ensure repeatability and improvement of security implementation.

Requirements                                                            

-5+ years of experience in software development

-3+ years of experience of cybersecurity

-3+ years of experience as technical lead / architect

-M.Sc. in computer science (or equivalent)

-Coding and code review skills in C and C++

-Experience in agile software development practices such as Scrum, Kanban, TDD  

-Experience in applying cybersecurity standards and regulations in development (e.g. ISA/IEC 62443, -NIST Cybersecurity Framework)

Practical experience of the following

-Threat and risk assessment methodologies

-Cryptography and its applications (e.g. encryption protocols, PKI)

-Embedded Linux platform security (e.g. TPM, root-of-trust, run-time protection, tamper protection)

-IoT security (e.g. safeguarding connected devices and networks)

-Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud)

-Security testing, validation and assurance throughout product lifecycle

-Secure software development lifecycle implementation in software projects (e.g. Microsoft SDL, OWASP, BSIMM)
